Atka Khatib
I am a Canadian-trained Early Childhood Educator with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Studies from the University of Guelph-Humber and a diploma in Early Childhood Education from George Brown College. With over eight years of experience in Toronto and Sharjah—including at the Toronto District School Board, YMCA, and the International School of Creative Science—I specialize in play-based learning, language development, and supporting children with diverse needs. I hold a TEFL certificate from the University of Toronto (OISE) and am currently reviewing my Ta’leem al-Qur’an studies with Al Huda Institute, which inspires me to help children deepen their Islamic values in daily life. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy travelling, spending time outdoors, and learning about different cultures, while staying up to date with the latest educational theories. My passion is creating nurturing, inclusive spaces where children feel a strong sense of belonging, curiosity, and joy in learning.
