Salum Khatib

Code & Create Instructor

My name is Salum Khatib, and I’m a 4th-year Software Engineering student at Ontario Tech University, currently working as a Software Engineering Intern at CBC. My fields of preference are backend development, DevOps automation, and web/mobile apps. I’ve been actively involved in volunteering and mentoring in my community for many years. Currently, I teach Islamic studies to children ages 7–16 weekly. Alhamdulillah I completed memorization of the Qur’an at age 14, and I continue to grow by advancing my Arabic, studying Islamic literature under supervision, and working toward certifications in different modes of Qur’an recitation.

Teaching philosophy

Actively involved in volunteering and mentoring in his community, with a passion for helping children build confidence through both technical skills and Islamic knowledge.

Credentials

Completed memorization of the Qur'an (Hifz) at age 14
Ijazah in the recitation of Hafs 'an 'Asim

Education
